Maggie M Fraley

     Early Years:
    Maggie was born and raised in White Haven, Pa and started riding 6 years old. She rode and showed with her lesson barn until she was 12, winning many local championships and competing in the Marshall and Sterling league Pony Medal division. When she was 13, she rode under Cindy Weaver, moving up to the large pony division, continuing local shows and winning multiple state championships. At 17, she attended the Grier School where she rode on the Hunt Seat, Dressage, and Western Horsemanship IEA teams. Here she won countless Regional, Zone, and National championships. At this time she rode her personal horse in the 3'6 equitation including the USEF medal, Medal Maclay, USHJA Hunterdon Cup and the USEF Talent Search. She also catch rode horses for the Children's Hunter division at the Harrisburg National show.

   Collegiate Career:
    After Grier, Maggie attended Sweet Briar College. She competed for the NCAA on Sweet Briar's team and earned many titles along with ODAC Championships and rookie of the year awards. Throughout these years, Maggie has worked with many top trainers (including but not limited to) Anne Kursinski, Candice King, Joe Fargis, Geoffe Teall, Shane Ledyard, Samantha St Jacques, and Kerry Kocher, participated in in many invitational USHJA Emerging Athlete Clinics, and has also has experience grooming in the 'A' circuit when not showing. Before becoming a professional, she was invited to be a part of Zone 3's USHJA Jumper Finals.

    Professional Career:
    At 19, Maggie declared professional status and begun her personal business Dark Star Equestrian. Since, she has ran personal facilities, hosted clinics, and has continued her personal ventures in the show ring. Maggie currently manages for BraveHearts Equine Center in Paris, Ky, where she is governing a 100+ horse herd. Here she is combining her passion for training, her business mindset, and dedication to horse welfare. Maggie’s mission is to continue her personal endeavors while engaging young equestrians and helping others achieve their individual equine ventures.
